Ramnavami - Spirutual Awakening
Date: Chaitra Shuddha Navami (Ramnavami) Place: Girma Devi Kond Ram Temple, Rajapur, Konkan Today was truly a source of deep inspiration, as I had the good fortune of celebrating Ramnavami at the Girma Devi Kond Ram Temple—an experience that will remain etched in my memory. The temple, maintained lovingly by the family of our friend Vishwanath, has a rich history dating back to 1872. It was renovated by his father in 1992, preserving its spiritual essence while adding to its beauty. Nestled in the heart of a lush 35-acre estate, the temple is surrounded by age-old coconut, jackfruit, and other trees native to the Konkan region. The serene natural setting added a divine charm to the entire experience. Ramnavami holds special significance for Vishwanath's family. Despite living in Dubai, he travels every year without fail to be part of this sacred celebration. All his close relatives and family friends join in, making it a grand yet intimate affair.
