Reforms in Agriculture Education? India is the agrarian country. About 58% population of the country depends on the agriculture. Agriculture is the largest private sector business of the country. It contributes about 17% in the GDP. Hence Agriculture education is the very important aspect in the development of the agriculture. India is the only country in the world having largest agriculture scientists. The need of the agriculture education was identified by the British Government. Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, the noted thinker, social reformer and agriculturist of Pune appealed to the British Government to set institutions for agricultural education and research in India. This led to the opening of a branch for teaching agriculture in the College of Science at Pune in 1879 that was subsequently developed into a separate College of Agriculture in 1907. When the entire world knows that Kasab was one of the terrorists who attacked Mumbai, why are we wasting our time and the money on the case? Are we not sending a wrong signal to the world? Pu blic distribution system is a crucial instrument in the hands of the government. The Food Corporation of India plays an important role in food management. There is an urgent need to strengthen its administration and make it more professional. We can then feed the nation during a crisis too. I was in Delhi on 11th december. I was just passing through the 10 Janpath. The foothpath was crowded with people. There were poor and the rich, everyone was there.(might waiting for someone) I was also like them but people in the crowd were looking at me curiously .......... I don't know why ? (May be because I was going towards them ,,,,,,,,, in India, late/akele jate ho to aapaki taraf VIP ki tarah dekhate hai !!!!!!!!!!!. ) I was with my friend. We were talking frankly and crossed the main gate of the 10 Janapth( official residence of the Soniya /////// Rahul Gandhi too...... ) I was thinking about the entire Gandhi family,,, Panditji, Indiraji, Rajivji, Sanjayji , soniyaji and rahulji ......
